07. Family income proof As evidenced in last financial year (ending March 31, 2025) for all earning members (parents, siblings or legal guardians).

Income tax returns (ITR) for FY 2024-25 along with copy of detailed income computation.

If salaried employees, Form 16 copy/salary slip issued by employer for FY 2024-25.

The applicant should submit all the desired documents through the online application portal within the stipulated time. Non-submission of any document can result in disqualification.

NOTE: In case of insufficient income proofs, applicant may be asked for the following:

  • If parent(s) have business income, copy of certificate from CA/audited balance sheet and profit & loss account for FY 2023-24 & FY 2024-25. 
  • List of immovable properties and investments owned by the family along with approx. market value as on 31.3.2025.

  1. Is there family income eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship?
    Students are eligible to apply for the Scholarships only if their family / household income is equal to or less than 35 lakhs.
  2. What are the eligible institutes?
    Students from selected institute are eligible to apply, check the list here.
  3. What are the eligible programmes?
    Selected undergraduate and post-graduate degree programmes in Science, Technology and Engineering, Law, Medicines, Humanities, Management and Architecture are applicable for the scholarship, check the list here.
  4. Are students who are pursuing Undergraduate and post-graduate degree programmes outside India eligible to apply for the Scholarships?
    No. Only students pursuing full-time degree programmes within India are eligible to apply.
  5. Can I apply for the scholarships more than once?
    No, you cannot apply for the scholarships more than once.
  6. I am a second-year student, can I apply for the Scholarships?
    No, students must be in their first year of their degree to apply for the scholarship.
  7. Can married students apply?
    Yes, married students can apply if they fulfil the eligibility criteria.
  8. Can an OCI or Non-resident Indian (NRI) student apply for the scholarships even he/she meets the eligibility criteria?
    The scholarship is open for students of Indian origin and resident in India.
  9. Am I allowed to accept other scholarships or awards with this Scholarship?
    Students are not allowed to accept scholarships or awards in conjunction with this Scholarship.
  10. Can I submit the application on paper?
    All applications need to be submitted through the online application portal. Please ensure that you submit your application in advance to avoid last minute complications.
  11. How is the application scored and who scores it?
    The application will be scored using a combination of academic and personal information you provide in your application. The scoring process will be very robust and will adhere to the highest standards of neutrality and fairness.
  12. What if I made a mistake in my application form?
    If you have made a mistake, unfortunately you cannot resubmit your application. You may contact at contact@arrascholarship.org in case you have made any mistakes and need to make changes.
  13. Can we fill the forms and save them partly and complete them gradually or do we need to fill everything in one go?
    Yes, you can fill the application form in parts. However, you will need to save your application every time to ensure that your inputs are not lost.
  14. What should I do, if my institute name is not coming in drop-down list of Institutes in application form?
    If your institute is not listed in the drop-down, it means that only selected institutions are eligible for this scholarship, but we encourage you to explore other scholarship opportunities that may be available to you.
  15. Is the ARRA Scholarship renewable?
    Yes, the scholarship is renewable each year, provided you remain in the top 15% of your class academically and actively engage in extracurricular or community activities.
